Hostel Admission

Leave and absence

All hostellers should attend the class regularly. If anyone takes leave without prior permission, the should meet the hostel in charge and apply for leave. When they return to hostel after leave, they should sign in the register as well as when they leave the hostel. After 7.00 pm no one is allowed to enter into hostel.

Mess

Food is prepared in hygienically maintained steam-based kitchen and is served neatly in a separate long mess hall. Varieties of tasty food items are cooked and served as per inmates' consensus.

Breakfast 7.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m.
Lunch 12.50 p.m. to 1.30 p.m.
Supper 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

Christian Life

Importance is given to the faith formation of the Catholic students. All the Catholic students are encouraged to attend the morning mass in the College Church. Daily Reading practice is given to students to participate in the liturgy effectively. Priests are available for the sacrament of reconciliation (Confession). There is prayer room for students to undertake their religious observances. Warden Sisters give counseling and guidance to them.

Varia

AS Newspapers expand the curriculum with an unlimited amount of information we are providing newspapers to inmates. On Sundays and special days the intimates are permitted to watch the Television. The Hostel provides One Rupee coin Phone facility for making local calls.

Store Room

For students' purpose there is a store room having all stationery and snacks.

Hostel plays an important role in forming students as a holistic person - physically fit, intellectually alert, morally upright, emotionally balanced, socially aware and religiously oriented persons. Self- discipline and responsibility strengthens the mind and sets you free to fly. To cultivate these qualities among students, the following procedures are applied.

Prayer

Prayer is the best tool to bring the spiritual power within one and express our gratitude to our creator. To bring the heavenly blessings upon us, daily students are having prayer at 7.00 pm. There is a prayer hall. Without any difference of caste and religion, students gather and pray here. In prayer groups, they share all aspects of their lives and guide and support one another.

Study and silence

Study hours:

  • 6.00 a.m. to 7.30 a.m.
  • 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.
  • 9.00 p.m. to 10.30 p.m.

During study hours students should maintain silence. There is long silence between 9.00 p.m. and 7.30 a.m.

Good Night Talk

Daily night at 8.30 pm attendance is taken. After that hostel in charge sister gives Good night talk.

Duties and Services

Responsibility is shared by appointing representatives for each year/ floor. On different occasions, various committees are formed and works are allotted.

Seminars and workshops

Various Seminars and workshops are conducted.

Safety and security

Tight security is provided in the Hostel. It is well secured for women students.
