The IQAC and R&D organized Faculty Development Programme on "Research and Development". Dr. R.John Bosco Balaguru, Associate Dean (Research), SEEE, Sastra University, Thanjavur was the Resource person. He delivered a talk on the right direction towards Research, Articles and Proposals on research projects writing procedure and IPR relevant to research.

The IQAC and R&D organized an Orientation Programme on "Knowledge on Research Impact Factor (Scopus and Google Scholar)"for Ph.D Research Scholars. The Resource Person was Dr. T.R. Barath Kumar, R&D Coordinator, Bon Secours College for Women, Thanjavur.

The IQAC and R&D organized a workshop on "Research Progress and Development" for Ph.D Doctorates. This workshop is mainly focused to aware of funding agencies, motivated the faculty to submit Major, Minor Project Proposals and Seminar Grants and highlighted areas of interdisciplinary approach. The Resource Persons were Dr. G.Victor Rajamanickam, Research Advisor, PITS, Thanjavur, Dr. S.Gokul Shankar, Senior Associate Professor, Microbiology Unit, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Medicine, AMIST University, Malasiya.

The IQAC and R&D organized Indian Academic Research Association Sponsored workshop on "NAAC: Revised Accreditation Framework and IPR Procedure and Policies". The Resource Persons were Dr. G.Archunan, Department of Animal science, Bharathidasan University, Trichy delivered the views on "IPR procedures and Policies". He shared on the property rights, patent rights, copyrights, trademarks, geographical indicators and creates awareness on plagiarism in articles. He insisted the participants to apply for the patents and explained its procedures, Mr.B.Thangapandian, Director, MACS Academy, Microsoft Training Division, Chennai underlined the outcome and perceptions of NIRF and NAAC. He enlightened the applications of Microsoft Innovative school, Partners in learning App, Software license, leadership Development programs for the betterment of staff and students. and Dr. C.Paramasivan, Asst. Professor of Commerce, Periyar E.V.R. College Trichy. He pointed out the ways and means for the submission of NAAC. He explained all the seven criterion with suitable examples. He insisted the IQAC meeting should be convened regularly in the presence of experts and Alumni.

The IQAC and R&D organized workshop on "Statistics and Research for PhD Scholars". The Resource Person is Dr.P.Pichamuthu Mariappan., Head and Assistant Professor of Zoology, Rajah Serfoji Government Arts College, Thanjavur acted as a resource person and he highlighted the basic concepts of research and the number of tools like T-test, ANOVA, Correlation, Regression etc., to be applied in Research. He also explained the SPSS Package theoretically. The Session was carried over by Dr.T.R.Barath Kumar, R&D coordinator. He highlighted the Do's and Don'ts in publication of an article. He quoted the steps to be followed for writing the publications using Elsevier journal reference.
