Revathy, Asst. professor, PG & Research Dept. of Biotechnology, participated in National Seminar on " Quality Enhancement and Sustenance in Higher Education: Challenges and Opportunities" organised by Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Saiva Bhanu Kshatriya College, Aruppukottai, TamilNadu on 20-07-2019.

  • Ms. J. Mythili, Asst. professor, of our department participated in Two day National Level Faculty Development Programme on 6 & 7th of September 2019 on "MOOC for Blended Teaching & Learning" organised by Loyola college (Autonomous), Chennai.
  • Ms. A. Indumathi, Asst. Professor, of our department attended National Conference on " Biotechnological Advances in Biomedical, Environmental & Agricultural Technology (BEAT 2K19)" organized by Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Padur, Chennai on 13.09.2019.
  • Dr. M. Rajeswari, Asst. professor, of our department attended International Colloquium on "The Challenges of higher education in the 21st century" organized by St. Joseph college (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli on 27.09.2019.
  • Dr. S. Sivaranjani, Asst. professor, of our department participated in two days National work shop entitled " Training of Teachers For Student Induction Programme" (Deeksharambh - Phase II) on 30th & 31st October was organised by University Grants Commission, South Eastern Regional Office, Hyderabad at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.

Ramadevi, Dept of Biotechnology presented a paper entitled "Biosynthesis of Silver Nanoparticles from Medicinal Plant Pedalium murex L. and its Antibacterial Activity against Fish Pathogens" 'International Conference on Chemical and Environmental Research', at Jamal Mohammed College, Trichy on 08.01.2020.

Ramadevi Dept of Biotechnology presented a paper entitled "Preliminary phytochemical and antibacterial activity of zinc oxide nanoparticles of oxide of aqueous extract of Cardiospermum halicacabum L." in International Conference on ' Prospects of Biosciences in trans disciplinary research 2020 - PBTR 20' at Bishop Heber's College, Trichy on 21.01.2020 & 22.01.2020.

Revathy Dept of Biotechnology presented a poster entitled "Biochemical Profiling for salinity tolerance in Casuarina equesitifolia" in National Conference on "Wetland Biodiversity and its Conservation Strategy" at A. V. V. M Sri Pushpam College, Poondi, Thanjavur on 30.01.2020 & 31.01.2020.

  • Mrs. A. Indumathi & Dr. R. Kalaivani served as the Resource person & member of Jury Board in assessing the projects of "Veettukku oru vingnani - 2018" program organized by Puthiya Thalaimurai on 21.07.18 at velammal Bodhi campus, Thanjavur on 21.07.18.
  • Mrs. A. Karpagalakshmi attended the workshop entitled "Molecular Biology" on 21st and 22nd July 2018 at Centre for Bioscience & Nanoscience Research, Coimbatore on 21.7.18.
  • The PG & Research Department of Botany & Biotechnology organized guest lecture on "Biotechnology For Enterpreneurship". Et. B. Purushothaman, CEO & Research Director, Periyar Technology Business Incubator, Thanjavur was the resource person. He emphasised the scope and available opportunities for life science graduates in industries as well as to be a entrepreneur on 24.7.18.
  • Dr. R. Kalaivani participated in UBA 2.0 orientation program entitled "Activates Planning for village clusters adopted by participating institutes" at IIT, Madras on 06.08.2018.
  • Dr. R. Kalaivani and Ms. A Indumathi conducted "Grama Sabha" meeting at Vilar and Kandithampattu respectively for "Plan of Action" on project implementation of UBA 2.0 on 15.08.2018.

  • Dr. R. Kalaivani submitted a proposal entitled "An intergraded approach on study of medicinal properties of traditional rice varieties of Tamil Nadu and evaluating anti-PCOS and Anti uterine cancer properties for young women generation" under Bio CARe Programme For Women Scientists to DBT, New Delhi on 14-09-2018.
